Due to the fact that Maple Ridge Museum building was relocated during the construction of the Haney Bypass, modern approaches to the building were created.

There is a ramp to the front door entrance that is suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.  There is another ramp to the lower entrance on the river side of the building that leads to the DARS diorama on that level. There is also a sturdy railing on the steps at the side entrance and on the stairs to the caboose.

Inside there is a large washroom with a lift bar installed.
