Donate to Our Collections

The Maple Ridge Museum and Community Archives has a wide variety of objects and archival materials in its collection. With over 16,000 objects in our collection, we are often unable to accept new donations into the collection due to a lack of storage space. While we are not actively collecting objects currently, we encourage those with potential donations to reach out to us via the form below. Donations related to Japanese Canadian history, the South Asian community, and other communities who are often historically underrepresented are currently being prioritized in our collection policy.

If you have an object that you believe would be a good fit for our collections, please fill out the following form. We will reach out shortly after submission to discuss your proposed donation further. Without a completed form, we will not consider your object for acquisition. Please do not try to leave objects at our door, they will not be accepted.

Describe the items you are interested in donating (ex. What type of object is it), be as specific as possible.
Describe any relevant information on the use or ownership of the object. Who did the object belong to? If the object did not belong to you originally, what is your relation to the original owner? How and where was the object used?
What year was the object made? Or when was the object used? (Approximations are fine).
Please specify what unit of measurement you are using (ex. inches or centimetres).
Is there any damage (breaks, tears, stains, etc.) to the proposed donation?
Is there anything else you feel we should know about the proposed donation while considering them for the collection?
