Hammond Brothers: Shaping the Landscape
Hammond Brothers: Shaping the Landscape on display

Inspired by community history displays that the Kelowna and District Genealogical Society does each year the Maple Ridge Family History Group suggested to the Maple Ridge Museum and Community Archives that we could use our research skills to do community history research and take on some orphaned Maple Ridge families. At the conclusion of every project all of the research materials are donated to the Maple Ridge Museum and Community Archives.

These projects help participants gain new research skills while learning about and sharing a new and deeper understanding about the Maple Ridge area, its residents and neighbours, and historical events that have impacted past decisions and actions. These displays travel to family and local history events, and members of Maple Ridge Family History Group are available to speak on project methodology and the various topics explored by the projects.
